Central High School girls' basketball star Makaiya Brooks announced on Twitter on Saturday that she has committed to play college basketball at Memphis.
Brooks is a Class of 2021 guard who also held an offer from Grand Canyon and Drury. She was offered by Memphis earlier this month.
"Thank you to all the coaches that believed in me," Brooks wrote on Twitter. "With that being said I would like to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Memphis."
At 5-foot-9, she averaged 24.9 points per game during her junior season and was a Class 5 All-State selection.
