Missouri State Ice Bears head coach Bob Bucher has been relieved of his duties as head coach.
Multiple sources within the program have confirmed that MSU has decided to go in a different direction, relieving Bucher of his duties.
“MSU hockey and coach Bob Bucher have parted ways. We thank coach Bucher for this unwavering support throughout his time here and wish him the best moving forward,” a statement from the club said.
Bucher was hired before the start of the 2012-2013 season and has held the position for the past five seasons. During that time, he played a major role in moving the MSU hockey program from Division II to the ACHA Men’s Division I League.
