Star basketball player Elijah Childs has entered the transfer portal and will seek to leave Bradley while criminal charges related to an alleged sex offense during the team's visit to Springfield this past season are still being considered.
Greene County Prosecutor Dan Patterson told the News-Leader on Thursday that the case is still under review. On March 18, the Springfield Police Department submitted a case to his office against Childs after investigating him for "sodomy in the second degree."
Patterson said an assistant prosecutor in his office would review the case to determine whether there is enough evidence to charge Childs with the Class D felony that is defined as having “deviate sexual intercourse” with someone without their consent.
