Bolivar High School will join the Ozark Conference in all sports starting in the fall of 2021, Springfield Public Schools Athletics Director Josh Scott told the News-Leader on Thursday.
The move comes a few months after the Central High School football program left the Ozark Conference while Bolivar took its place. Central will remain in the Ozark Conference in all sports but football as it plays on the gridiron as an independent.
Bolivar will make the move to the Ozark Conference after being left without a conference the last three seasons. The Liberators were a part of the Small Division of the Central Ozark Conference — which dissolved in 2017.
