It didn’t take long for Missouri State to send another message on Saturday afternoon at Hammons Field.
The Bears sent 10 men to the plate in the first inning, striking on a two-run home run by Justin Paulsen and a two-run triple by Aaron Meyer, then cruised to an 11-8 victory over Dallas Baptist.
Missouri State has claimed victories in the first two games of the series, matching two of the top teams in the Missouri Valley Conference, winning Friday night by a 5-1 score and then leading start to finish on Saturday.
They will go for the sweep — and a three-game lead in the conference over the Patriots — in Sunday’s 1 p.
