A sloppy day of basketball was seen by the 3,879 in attendance for the Missouri State men’s basketball team’s 85-69 win at JQH Arena on Sunday. The win moved the Bears to a 3-0 start on the season.
“It’s always important to get off to a good start,” head coach Dana Ford said. “A lot of time, film study, statistics study goes into who starts for us. We fell like (the starting five) is probably our best lineup in a year like this year trying to establish the program.”
The Bears climbed to a commanding 7-0 lead in the first four minutes of the contest and led the for all but 59 seconds of the contest when the score was tied at 9.
