The Bears are going to have to wait to find out whether or not they’re going to the NCAA tournament.
A rough first inning in the field turned into Missouri State being eliminated from the Missouri Valley tournament as the Illinois State Redbirds defeated the Bears 7-2.
“We weren’t ourselves today,” senior first baseman Justin Paulsen said. “That’s not like us. We have a veteran ball club. We have to fix those before next week, if we get selected.”
Although the Bears won’t have the Missoui Valley’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, they remain optimistic that they’ll be selected by the NCAA selection committee.
