NORMAL, Illinois – Missouri State was in good position for their third win in as many Missouri Valley Conference games on Wednesday night.
Then a perfect storm hit for Illinois State.
The Bears suffered from too much MiKylie McIntosh, too many empty possessions, and maybe too much Alize Johnson on the bench.
The result: a 74-71 overtime loss in front of 4,107 at Redbird Arena.
“Give them a lot of credit, and give my guys a lot of credit,” Bears coach Paul Lusk said. “There are no moral victories, but they’re very good.
“I think we’ve got a chance to continue to be very good.
