It didn’t look good when senior second baseman Aaron Meyer went to the ground early in Tuesday night’s win over Missouri.
The news is even worse.
Missouri State announced Wednesday night that after an MRI, it was confirmed that Meyer ruptured his right patellar tendon, which will cause him to miss the rest of his senior season.
Meyer’s injury came on a play where he hit a ground ball to the pitcher. As he attempted to avoid the tag, his legs gave up beneath him.
He would remain on the ground before he was carted off the field after 20 minutes.
