BROOKINGS, S.D. -- An ugly loss in ugly weather capped off the Missouri State football team’s day in Brookings, South Dakota.
Temperatures dropped below 40 degrees and rain drizzled as the Bears moved to 4-5 on the season after losing 59-7 to South Dakota State. Missouri State was shut out in the first, third and fourth quarters, only scoring on a 10-yard pass from quarterback Peyton Huslig to wide receiver Tyler Currie.
Nothing worked for the Bears on either side of the ball. Missouri State ended two drives in SDSU territory, one of which came from the touchdown and another came from an interception by senior Jared Beshore on the Jackrabbits’ 49-yard line.
