Same old Bears?
Despite an 9-4 nonconference record and a start to the Missouri Valley Conference season that included a victory at Northern Iowa and a competitive showing in an overtime loss at Illinois State, it’s starting to feel like the old days at Missouri State.
The Bears came out flat and sluggish in hosting former coach Barry Hinson and Southern Illinois on Saturday afternoon at JQH Arena.
The Salukis, 9-point underdogs coming in, didn’t trail after the first 2:43, outclassing the Bears throughout in a 75-67 victory before an announced crowd of 5,892.
