“Defend no matter what.”
That’s what the sign leading Missouri State men’s basketball team to their first home conference win said.
Senior guard Josh Webster was seen leading the Bears’ timeout in the second half with over 10 minutes still left.
“‘Defend no matter what.’ It means if we’re down we play defense; if we make shots, we still play defense,” Webster said. “No matter what, we play defense. That’s our new motto.”
The first half was much closer than the second. Missouri State led 30-24, with Loyola Chicago shooting 42.1 percent from the field.
