With four games left in the regular season of their senior year, the end is near for Missouri State seniors like Cam Boone and Loomis Gerring.
The urgency shows.
Boone and Gerring put the team on their backs on Saturday afternoon against Indiana State at JQH Arena.
Boone had a career-high 30 points and 12 rebounds in 38 minutes, and Gerring added nine points and six boards as the Bears survived for a roller-coaster 89-85 overtime victory over the Sycamores.
“We really challenged Cam after the last game,” Bears coach Paul Lusk said. “He’s a great kid, and we didn’t think he was at the level he needed to be, and I think he really responded.
