The Springfield Area Baseball Association is putting on a one-day showcase to give high school players a chance to show scouts their skills.
The scouting showcase serves as a precursor to the 45th annual Price Cutter Holiday Tournament. College scouts have the chance to see players from more than 20 teams in one stadium. The showcase takes place Wednesday at Glendale High School’s Howard Bell Sports Complex.
Approximately 80 players attended last year’s scouting showcase. This year, Glendale baseball coach Mike Snodgrass expects more than 100 athletes to go through drills.
Pitchers will throw bullpen sessions beginning at 1 p.
