Baseball Bears earn highest-ranked win in MSU history against No. 2 Razorbacks

The Missouri State University baseball team toppled the No. 2 University of Arkansas Razorbacks in a 10-inning thriller on Tuesday night.

The victory was the highest-ranked regular-season win in program history, and no other MSU sports program has earned a victory against a team ranked as high as No. 2 in school history.

Junior left fielder Jake McCutcheon helped the Bears take an early lead with a two-run double in the third inning. The third-year Bear finished the game 3-for-4 with two walks, a double, two RBI and two runs scored.

The Bears jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first four innings of the game thanks to some savvy baserunning by sophomore two-way player Max Knight, a double by junior left fielder Jake McCutcheon and a solo shot by graduate shortstop Tyler Epstein.
