Aurora baseball standout Gage Singer was announced as Missouri's Gatorade Player of the Year on Thursday morning.
Singer became the first Aurora Houn' Dawg to receive the award in its 34-year history.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound senior right-handed pitcher and shortstop led Aurora to a 21-5 record. He had a 6-0 record on the mound with a 0.00 ERA with 82 strikeouts and four walks in 35 innings pitched.
The three-time first team All-State selection batted .388 with six home runs, 21 RBI and a .567 on-base percentage.
Singer has maintained a B average in the classroom.
