After initially being linked to Missouri State football's head coach opening, Art Briles has denied speaking with the university.
FootballScoop.com reported Tuesday night former Baylor football coach Art Briles will be the next football coach of the Missouri State Bears.
That has since been debunked as Missouri State announced Bobby Petrino would be its next head coach.
According to ESPN reporter Sam Khan Jr., Briles told him that he did not speak with Missouri State.
Briles was fired from Baylor in 2016 amid the school's sexual assault scandal.
