A Cassville archery expert who patented a unique device to make bows quieter is teaming up with a Springfield gun shop to serve hunters and target shooters in both sports.
"I'm the bow guy. He's the gun guy," said inventor Joe Goade, who moved his archery business in Cassville to McCarthy's Outdoors and Gun Club in Springfield.
The co-owners have been busy refitting the McCarthy's Outdoors store at 1675 E. Seminole St. in Springfield.
Goade made waves in the archery world when he invented a way to instantly stop a compound bow string after it had fired an arrow.
