Clint Wilson shot a doe Sunday morning when temperatures dipped far below freezing.
The 64-year-old had gone out with his grandson Hayden Wilson the day before, which was the opening for firearms deer season in Missouri. The 17-year-old got a deer as well. Both generational hunters used 30-30 Winchesters.
Clint Wilson said he has a bad heart these days, so he sticks close to the road when he goes out to hunt. Although Hayden Wilson opted to skip the Sunday outing, he was quick to help his grandfather drag the doe from the woods.
"He gets tired of me talking," Clint Wilson joked with his grandson.
