The latest list of American Family Insurance ALL-USA Ozarks Performers of the Week features two state champions and some peak performances on the basketball court.
ALL-USA Ozarks Performers of the Week distinction recognizes several standout performances from some of the top high school athletes in the Springfield area.
Here are the Performers of the Week for Feb. 15 20:
Niko Chavez
Willard wrestling
Chavez emerged victorious from a tiebreaker with Belton’s Robert Weber to win the Class 3 state championship match at 138 pounds. Chavez finished his junior senior with a 51-3 record and tournament title wins in his district, the Central Ozark Conference Large, the Republic Inviational, the Monett Tournament and the 28th Annual Neosho Wrestling Tournament.
