HOOVER, Ala. – Life without Dak Prescott could be hard for Mississippi State.
But Fred Ross should do well in helping alleviate at least some of the strain.
In its first season in three years without Prescott, a former All-SEC quarterback, as the starter, the Bulldogs’ safest bet to adjusting to a new man under center might be Ross, arguably the SEC’s best returning wide receiver this season.
Speaking at SEC Media Days on Tuesday, Ross, a senior, already seems to have taken on the role of helping bring along the Bulldogs’ yet-to-be-named starter.
“Because those are young guys and those guys, there’s going to be some situations that they’re put in that they haven’t had to go through yet,” Ross said.
