There is no doubt that women’s basketball took a major hit as the departure of seniors Blair Schaefer, Roshunda Johnson, and Victoria Vivians still stings following one of the most heartbreaking losses the history of the sport. That said, the Bulldogs have plenty of depth. In addition, this year’s squad may be even better, but is in dire need of a true leader. While she was on and off throughout the year, Jordan Danberry took advantage of the bright tournament lights, ultimately proving that she can lead an underestimated team this season.
