If I remember correctly, I first met Scott Stricklin at the athletic director’s meetings in Dallas in 2012. The last time I spoke to him was in his suite during the LSU-Mississippi State game September 17 in Baton Rouge. I talked to him about another clever idea coming out of MSU’s athletic department. He actually asked me and my wife more about GridironNow and what we were up to than we could ask him questions.
He’s like that.
Tuesday, he officially was announced as the new athletic director at Florida, one of the largest, richest, most successful and prominent athletic departments in the nation.
