It’s not a secret that the Mississippi State football team was carried in large part by the rushing attack that the Bulldogs fielded against Auburn. The Bulldogs defense did a solid job of limiting what Auburn could do and Bob Shoop’s group should be credited for that, but Nick Fitzgerald was the main spark for the Mississippi State football team against the Tigers.
Against Auburn, Fitzgerald was able to end the Bulldogs’ touchdown drought that dated back to the second quarter against Kentucky. He was actually the only player in the entire game between the two teams who had any touchdowns on Saturday.
