Mississippi State’s Victoria Vivians was named to the Late Season Top 20 for the John R. Wooden Award, which is presented annually to the top women’s college basketball player.
The sophomore guard from Carthage ranks second in the Southeastern Conference averaging 17 points per game and has scored in double figures in 24 of the Bulldogs’ 26 games this season.
Vivians joins the South Carolina duo of Tiffany Mitchell and A’ja Wilson as the only SEC players to make the cut.
Before the NCAA Tournament field is set, 15 finalists will be selected for the Wooden Award.
