STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Victoria Vivians scored 21 points, Teaira McCowan added 19 and No. 4 Mississippi State beat Alabama 75-61 on Sunday.
Mississippi State (19-0, 5-0 Southeastern Conference) earned its 11th straight win by double digits and now gets a week of rest to prepare for a showdown at No. 6 Tennessee next weekend.
McCowan added 16 rebounds for her SEC-leading 14th double-double. Vivians scored in double figures for the 18th time in 19 games this season. Roshunda Johnson added 14 points.
Alabama (13-5, 3-2) recovered from a shaky first few minutes to take a surprising 20-16 lead at the end of the first quarter.
