Coach Joe Moorhead and the Mississippi State Bulldogs added a commitment to their 2019 class over the weekend when three-star cornerback D.J. James announced his intentions to head to Starkville.
“It was definitely the coaching staff that led me to the commitment,” James told GN. “They just made me feel at home there, and they’re very respectful as well. They made me feel better there than any other college I have visited.
“I just really like that new coaching staff.”
James (6 feet, 175 pounds), from Spanish Fort (Ala.) High, near Mobile, is a top-45 corner nationally and a top-25 overall talent in Alabama in the 2019 class.
