Rhett’s got play-calling duties now. Did you know it?
That’s right, it’s no longer Gus Malzahn’s offense anymore. The guru is no longer a guru – it’s all in the hands of Rhett Lashlee.
Of course, Rhett knows the offense backwards and front having played quarterback for Malzahn at Springdale High School in the mid-2000s. Then he got the offensive coordinator job at Arkansas State under Malzahn at the ripe old age of 28.
Maybe Rhett’s the genius. Boy wonder.
This reminds me of when Steve Spurrier let his son call the plays at South Carolina.
