STARKVILLE, Miss. – After a season of ups and downs, the Mississippi State baseball team found out its postseason fate today while watching the announcement inside the school’s Hall of Champions.
The No. 2 seeded Diamond Dawgs (31-25, 15-15 SEC) are headed to Tallahassee after they were selected to play in the Tallahassee Regional of the NCAA Tournament.
MSU’s road to Omaha will begin against No. 3 seeded Oklahoma (36-23) at 11 a.m. Friday on ESPNU in the double-elimination format.
This is the Diamond Dawgs’ 37th NCAA Tournament appearance, and the second time in program history they have made the NCAA Tournament after starting 0-3.
