Mississippi State was the first team in the SEC to open camp, so the Bulldogs are already a few practices into the 2017 season.
Dan Mullen enters his ninth fall camp in Starkville as the second-longest-tenured coach in the SEC, behind only Nick Saban. While the Bulldogs have been to seven consecutive bowl games, the Bulldogs are coming off a losing season and breaking in a new defensive coordinator (Todd Grantham) as they look to get back to the form that helped them win 19 games in 2014 and ’15.
