Craig Sword will represent Mississippi State in the College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships Thursday at 8 p.m. on ESPN from Cypress, Texas.
Sword will compete in the slam dunk contest against East Tennessee State’s Duece Bello, University of Mary’s Devan Douglass, Longwood’s Shaq Johnson, Barry’s Yunio Barrueta and Tulsa’s Shaquille Harrison.
The 6-foot-3 senior was the only player to start all 31 games for the Bulldogs this season and averaged 13 points.
Sword led the Bulldogs in scoring for three seasons and finished his career with 1,492 points, the 11th most in school history and is also fourth all-time with 185 steals.
