Mississippi State saw its second pledge from Meridian High School decommit from the 2016 class.
First Quincy Lenton withdrew his commitment in May and was joined by teammate and four-star safety Zaire Jones on Friday.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder announced via Twitter that “I’ve decided to decommit from Ms State University, I would like to say thanks for all the things you’ve done for me. Ready to explore”.
Jones also holds scholarship offers from Vanderbilt, Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss, Indiana, Missouri, Troy and Virginia.
The loss of Jones leaves the Bulldogs with 15 commitments and a class ranked 36th nationally by 247Sports.
