Mississippi State guard Xavian Stapleton was arrested on campus Saturday for driving with a suspended license.
The sophomore transfer from Louisiana Tech was pulled over for going 38 mph in a 20 mph zone on Stone Boulevard at 10:05 a.m. Stapleton was booked into the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office and released later that day.
The 6-foot-6, 190-pounder from Flora arrived at MSU last month and will be forced to sit out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules. Stapleton appeared in 36 games for Louisiana Tech last year averaging 6.7 points and 2.1 rebounds in 15.
