Two days removed from the conclusion of Mississippi State’s season, assistant coach Nick Mingione appears to be on the move.
According to a source, Mingione will be named the next head coach at Kentucky – where he was also an assistant from 2006-07 under John Cohen. The Wildcats have yet to make a formal announcement.
Mingione has been on the Bulldogs’ staff as both an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator since Cohen’s arrival in June 2008. He also had stops at Western Carolina, Florida Gulf Coast and his alma maters Embry-Riddle and Mariner (Fla.
