STARKVILLE, Miss. – It was one of those relentlessly hot Mississippi mornings that would make a lesser man want to be anywhere else on Earth.
But here on “The Farm,” as the Mississippi State practice fields are affectionately known, is exactly where Richie Brown wanted to be – wearing full practice gear and pushing through a two-hour workout.
Brown could have chosen to be somewhere else on this August Saturday. After a 2015 season in which he recorded 109 tackles, the fifth-highest total in the SEC, he could have followed fellow juniors Beniquez Brown and Chris Jones to the NFL draft.
