HOOVER, Ala. – After a huge sweep of No. 1 Florida this past weekend, the Mississippi State baseball team is now set begin postseason play with the Southeastern Conference Tournament at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Ala.
The ninth-seeded Diamond Dawgs (31-24, 15-15 SEC) will battle it out with eighth-seeded LSU (33-23, 15-15 SEC) today at 4:30 p.m. CT. The game will be nationally-televised on SEC Network.
MSU is riding a four-game winning streak with an 18-8 win over Kentucky in the series finale and then sweeping the SEC Regular Season Champion Florida Gators. Elijah MacNamee, Tanner Allen and Jake Mangum were key players in the sweep, as all three batted above .
