We begin our series of SEC player rankings by looking at quarterbacks, the most important player on the field.
Too often this decade, SEC fans have had to hang their heads in shame when discussion turned to quarterbacks. Oh, sure, there was high-level play by one or two quarterbacks per season, but overall quarterback play in the league, top to bottom, has been mediocre to poor. That’s not the case this season.
It’s always difficult to put together the SEC quarterback rankings. But for the first time in a long while, it’s difficult this season because there actually are a lot of talented guys; usually, it’s simply a case of who’s less bad.
