Scott Stricklin is on his way out of Mississippi State, but he’s leaving his thanks and appreciation for those who have supported him with the Bulldogs.
The outgoing Mississippi State athletic director left a message on Twitter for Bulldogs fans Tuesday.
Stricklin was hired in September to take the same job at Florida, where he will take over as athletic director on Nov. 1. He will be taking the place of retiring Gators athletic director Jeremy Foley.
During the search for a permanent successor to Stricklin, Mississippi State named Scott Wetherbee as the school’s interim athletic director late Tuesday.
