Jacob Robson became the second Mississippi State player to sign with the Detroit Tigers on Thursday.
Robson joined teammate Zac Houston in inking with the Tigers and became the fourth Bulldog player to sign a professional contract since last week’s MLB Draft. Daniel Brown and Nathaniel Lowe have also signed.
The redshirt junior center fielder from Canada was drafted by Detroit in the eighth round with the 235th overall pick. That selection’s slot value was $181,600.
Robson played in 169 games during his MSU career including 128 starts.
