The staff departures for Mississippi State football continue as recruiting specialist William “Sleepy” Robinson has left to join former Bulldogs safeties coach Tony Hughes, now the head coach at Jackson State.
Robinson will serve as the Tigers’ running backs coach and recruiting coordinator. Robinson was hired by Dan Mullen in 2013 after 16 years as a high school coach. He played quarterback for the Bulldogs from 1990-92.
Robinson is not the only hire Hughes has made with MSU ties. Former Bulldogs linebacker Dwayne Curry (1993-96) will coach defensive line at JSU while former Mississippi State assistant coach John Hendrick will work as defensive coordinator.
