Mississippi State may have its man to replace safeties coach Tony Hughes.
According to multiple reports, Louisville cornerbacks coach Terrell Buckley has accepted the position to coach the Bulldogs’ safeties.
A native of Pascagoula, Buckley is a former fifth overall pick in the 1992 NFL Draft out of Florida State and spent 14 seasons with the Packers, Dolphins, Broncos, Patriots, Jets and Giants. He helped New England win Super Bowl XXXVI.
Buckley broke into coaching at his alma mater from 2007-11 then moved on to coach corners at Akron from 2012-13. He has spent the last two seasons on Bobby Petrino‘s staff at Louisville.
