Former Mississippi State outfielder Hunter Renfroe will be part of the MLB All-Star Game festivities in San Diego next month.
Renfroe, currently playing for the Padres’ Triple-A affiliate the El Paso Chihuahuas, was selected to play for the U.S. Team in the Futures Game on July 10 at 6 p.m. at Petco Park and will be televised by MLB Network.
It will be the second time Renfroe has participated in the event having gone 1-for-2 with a single in the 2014 Futures Game in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Renfroe lettered at MSU from 2011-13 before being drafted 13th overall by the Padres.
