STARKVILLE, Miss. — Mississippi State second baseman Justin Foscue has been selected by the Texas Rangers with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft.
With his first-round selection, Foscue becomes the 16th Mississippi State Bulldog to get picked in the first round.
The Huntsville, Alabama native hit .331 in 2019 on his way to earning All-American honors. He was hitting .321 this year before the season was stopped abruptly due to COVID-19 just 16 games into the season. In his Bulldog career, Foscue hit .297 with 153 hits, 19 home runs and 96 RBIs.
