Mississippi State took to the field at Davis Wade Stadium for a scrimmage on Saturday night and the bright lights over the home turf seem to have delivered some clarity as to who will be the man to win MSU’s starting quarterback job.
For about three weeks now, graduate transfer Tommy Stevens and veteran Bulldog Keytaon Thompson have battled to be State’s starting signal caller. MSU head coach Joe Moorhead didn’t go so far as to name his starter on Saturday, but he did indicate that point is finally nearing.
“I kind of have an idea,” Moorhead said.
