OMAHA, Neb. – Ever since Mississippi State clinched a berth in this year’s College World Series, MSU head coach Chris Lemonis has insisted he wasn’t sure of his team’s starting pitching plans beyond ace left-hander Ethan Small. It is a mystery no more.
Senior right-hander Peyton Plumlee will be on the mound starting for the Bulldogs on Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Vanderbilt as State tries to get into the driver’s seat in Omaha. A victory would put the Bulldogs just one win away from the championship series.
