Bibby, now an upperclassman and one of Mississippi State’s most important pieces, must continue to crash the boards, especially on the defensive end.
The Bulldogs have excelled at keeping opponents outside the painted area, in large part due to Bibby’s quick vision and willingness to take on any mismatch. Contrary to a score first forward at 6-foot-1, Bibby excels most as a rebounder and defender.
With 42 boards in her first five games, Bibby should be a factor against the Golden Eagles. Alongside sophomore center Jessika Carter, Bibby is the perfect compliment. Though Bibby will have to up her game offensively, look for her to post north of 10 boards and a few blocked shots in tomorrow’s matchup.
