No. 7 Mississippi State baseball beats No. 4 Texas Tech 11-5

ARLINGTON, Texas — The No. 7 Mississippi State baseball team concluded the State Farm College Baseball Showdown at Globe Life Field with an 11-5 win over No. 4 Texas Tech Monday afternoon.

MSU (2-1, 0-0 SEC) used a run in the eighth inning and five insurance runs in the ninth to secure the victory over Texas Tech (0-3, 0-0 Big 12). The Red Raiders left 13 runners on base and went 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position.

The Bulldogs outhit Texas Tech 12-6 and were led by senior Rowdey Jordan, senior Josh Hatcher, junior Luke Hancock and graduate student Scotty Dubrule with two hits apiece.
