STARKVILLE, Miss. — Senior Tanner Allen’s ninth-inning single plated two runs as the No. 6 Mississippi State baseball team walked off with a 5-4 series-clinching win over Tulane Sunday afternoon at Dudy Noble Field.
With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 5-2 (0-0 SEC), while the Green Wave fall to 3-4 (0-0 AAC).
Tulane outhit MSU 12-7. MSU sophomore Logan Tanner had two of MSU’s hits on a 2-for-3 day at the plate.
Freshman righty Jackson Fristoe started on the mound for the Bulldogs and allowed two runs on five hits in four innings pitched.
