AUBURN, Ala. — The No. 6 Mississippi State baseball team completed a road sweep over Auburn with a 19-10 win over the Tigers on Sunday at Plainsman Park.
The Bulldogs (24-7, 8-4 SEC) opened with 10 runs in the first inning before scoring two runs in the third inning, two in the fifth, two in the sixth and three in the eighth. The Tigers (12-16, 1-11 SEC) scored two runs in the first and second innings, one in the sixth, three in the eighth and two in the ninth.
MSU outhit Auburn 17-11 and was led by sophomore Logan Tanner with a 3-for-5 day at the plate with five RBIs and three runs.
