The Bulldogs improved to 8-0 with their third true road win and first against a top-10 squad this season this season. For the first time in school history, State held a top-10 team to less than 50 points.
The Bulldogs have won 44 straight non-conference games, while gaining a victory for the Southeastern Conference in the annual SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
"I'm awfully proud of my team today," head coach Vic Schaefer said. "These two [Jazzmun Holmes and Teaira McCowan] were special. In a big game, in big moments, there's so many moments in a game like this.
